An attorney, analyst, and researcher, Heron has published law review articles and has a forthcoming book chapter on how to remedy disparities facing bisexual people through public policy advocacy.
Heron is a fiction writer, particularly drawn to fairy tales, stories of strong women, and spooky little yarns. Their writing has appeared in The Collapsar, Hematapoiesis Press, Entropy Magazine, Broad! Magazine, and milk journal. Heron also has a story in Out of the Cave, an anthology of YA horror.
